1. What cookies we use

SouqSpot uses a deliberately small set of first-party cookies and similar storage. Strictly necessary: the session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects your account (signed, HTTP-only), and security tokens that defend against request forgery and abuse. Functional: your language choice (English/Arabic), dismissed banners and interface preferences. First-party analytics: anonymous counters for page views, searches and web-vitals performance that help us improve the Platform. The mobile applications use equivalent local storage for the same purposes plus your notification preferences.

2. What we do not use

We do not run third-party advertising trackers, cross-site profiling cookies or social-media pixels. Analytics stay first-party and aggregate.

3. Your choices

You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings at any time. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled while signed in, because sessions do not work without them; blocking them limits you to browsing public pages. Functional cookies re-create themselves only when you use the related feature (for example switching language).

4. Retention

The session cookie lasts until sign-out or its built-in expiry; the language cookie lasts one year; analytics counters are aggregate from the moment of collection and hold no personal identifiers.
